Special session of Parliament - a misdirection?

So, as soon as the Govt announced a special session of Parliament, opposition was really quick to assume about what's gonna happen there.

Some said it was about 'One nation, One election', and BJP wants to shift the date of the upcoming elections in 5 states.

Some said it was to implement UCC which will ultimately help BJP garner some more Hindu votes.

Others said that the Central Govt wants to change India's name to Bharat officially bcz BJP got scared of the I.N.D.I.A bloc.

but with Modi, you never can be sure.

The special session is not about any of that. Yesterday, the Govt released the agenda of the special session. And here it is

Now the point Im trying to make is opposition did not think it through and jumped the gun.

They were too quick to show their displeasure about what they thought was gonna happen and showed their cards.

They revealed their positions on the above mentioned three issues.

UCC and Bharat issue could play a pivotal role in determining the mood of the public, and now we all know the stand of the oppostion.

#GeneralElection2024 will keep getting more and more interesting.

Also, Parliament is not just a place to pass laws, but also a place to tell what the Govt is upto or what are their plans going forward. Basically, it is also a place to tell the house and the country about something important.

In this session, the Govt want to showcase the 75 years journey of independence. The question arise though, is it gonna be that simple?

Let's check the notification and see what's written there.

"Parliamentary journey of 75 years starting from Samvidhan Sabha - Achievements, Experiences, Memories, and Learnings"

The keywords here are "Parliamentary Journey", "Experiences", and "Learnings"

Considering that there are not gonna be any zero hour or question hour in this session, the Govt CAN shed light on what has happened in the Parliament in the yesteryears.

Note that Congress has been in power for the most part of these 75 years journey. Therefore, the current Govt can talk about what they "learnt" from the "experiences" of past govts.

Considering all the attention that this special session is getting thanks to the oppostion, it is safe to assume that the current govt is gonna open the pandora box of the things that had been done in parliament in the past for the whole Bharat to see.

Im expecting PM Modi will talk about the draconian Places of Worship Act of 1991 or the Waqf Act of 1995.

oppostion needs to sit down and make a strategy.
