Delhi Minister Saurabh Bharadwaj recently commended Sunita Kejriwal, wife of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, for her pivotal role in maintaining unity within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Bharadwaj said that Sunita's presence has been instrumental in fostering a positive environment during Arvind Kejriwal's absence.

Following Arvind Kejriwal's arrest on March 21 in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, Sunita Kejriwal stepped into a more prominent role, conducting a series of digital briefings to keep AAP members and supporters informed.

While addressing the media, Bharadwaj highlighted Sunita's efforts in conveying Arvind Kejriwal's messages effectively, which has significantly impacted the morale of the party cadre and supporters.

"She is delivering the messages of Arvind Kejriwal ji. This has had a great impact on our party cadre and among our sympathisers. We want to propagate it. In the present circumstances, she is the best person to keep the party together," Bharadwaj said.

“For years Sunita Kejriwal has been with Arvind Kejriwal, through thick and thin...She was an IRS officer…If such a person stays in the party, then she acts as a glue in the party and we see it as a blessing... Since she is a family member, she is allowed to meet the chief minister in jail, she takes Delhi's issues to Arvind Kejriwal and his issues to us,” Bharadwaj told to ANI.

Parallels are also being drawn between Sunita Kejriwal's involvement and the historical significance of figures like Rabri Devi, who assumed leadership roles in the past during critical junctures. Bharadwaj, however, held that that Sunita's role transcends mere comparisons, highlighting her unique contributions to AAP's resilience and unity.
