Capital punishment for Rapists
We cannot afford to fail as democracy but we can as humanity. Why not capital punishment for certain criminals?

if someone commits any inhuman act then why to be linient in giving punishment. It has to be direct death punishment. but unfortunately we follow the olf laws and a lot of secrecy has been kept in the fact that we have to still follow the old rules of the britishers. for example some IPC act still dates back to 1862 are followed

I dont think its only about old laws...its about not justifying someone's death...
agreed it is not just about the old laws but also to have a moral understanding between right and wrong. When someone has committed a heinous crime like rape and murder then why should they not be given death sentence as they themselves have forced and taken away a life then why should there life be spared. AND if someone is old enough to rape then they are old enough to get jailed and die, if the mindset is heinous why does someone deserve a second chance .did the person who got raped and victimised got the second chance ?
i don't think capital punishment would serve as justice...but yeah we should make strict laws so that such inhumane acts are preventable...
