The dilemma of Government

The government is facilitating migrant labours and students in sending them back to their homes...

But then question arises what if these movements will make the situation worse as most likely, among these people will also be carriers of the contagious virus...nobody could deny that...screening is useless in frront of asymtomatic cases...plus about the 14 days home quarantine guideline? Do we really believe that these people will do that? This can turn into catastrophic..

The gov is compelled to do so because of the protests and complaints...in that case it hasn't got any other option either...

But could their have been a better way to deal with this? ...

@mehrashivani12@yahoo.com I do feel it will make the situation worse because of the asymptomatic cases. This probably is not the right time for it as the virus has spread , as initially the patients were only the previledged class but now it has spread to all other sections of the society. There was this news from Delhi itself, yesterday that around 41 workers were tested positive in a building and all of them were migrant workers.
Many workers now just want to live as they want to get back to their villages and towns and stay with their family, they are not thinking about restarting of the factories but just want to livesafely with their families and at their native places. They have lost hope in the govt helping them as they have seen now how much the govt has been of help .
The simple solution was the moment when you were preparing for lockdown , you send the migrant workers to their respective places through buses and trains , around the 20th March. Instead of doing this act of utilising the defence resources for felicitating the doctors and warriors the resources could have been used for the travel of these migrant forces. Its the old situation where the doctors were only asking for proper kits but even that is not available in sufficient amount and you try these unwanted things.

@Tuhin12 i completely agree with you on this that they 've lost faith in the government...they know that food isn't going to reach them...

Plus here is an important thing...

See these guys, means the poors may or may not hold political opinions...but i am sure they never protested about anything...they dont give a damn about CAA or anything else...all their life is daily earning, and eating from that earning...but this is the first time when we are seeing protests from them...and the obvious reason is because it is now that thwy have got affected...Mr Modi has been beating his chest and faking cries citing his own experiences and his aims for serving poors but the reality is this...this is where a poor is and Mr modi didnt know how to handle them..he is caught unprepared...he does not understand them..but is this the truth...well No...the truth is that these poors also dont give a damn who Mr Modi is when it comes to their survival...they are self reliant...i mean just think of their mentality that they are going on foot from one state to another ...they dont care if you put lockdown...they dont care if you dont run buses or trains...

Who should we blame for this? Their dumb, stupid insensitive mentality? Or their situation?

@jayeshdhyani well in the name of poor schemes they had commenced but the reality is similar to rural electrification , at the ground level their is no proper implementation or half baked news. To add to all the problems I just don't find any brain in this govt . You had Urijit Patel, Viral acharya and raghuram Rajan once but no u find all of them not helping the capitlists and now Nirmala Tai is FM and Mr Das is govrnor and don't know how we are going to survive . This govt will only take help from the industrialists and not mindful economists. Just dialogues .

@jayeshdhyani and then who takes responsibilty for their situation ?

@mehrashivani12@yahoo.com correctly said! And for the alternative of this step-- as govt. is partially lifting lockdown in some areas or is about to lift in some days for restarting some industries, so there will definitely b requirement of labour for such activities/business..So, d govt. could have intimated the same to the labourers, which could have stopped a large proportion of such labourers from migrating..As d main reason for their migration is that they have lost their jobs & have no resson to stay there..

Also, as they have gone now, so, it is high posibility that there will b shortage of labour in such areas..This will b another problem to tackle in coming days..
